:: What is this First Time Sign-up, anyhow? To Place an Ad or set up a free
"Ranch Page", you will first need to fill out the free
"user
registration" process to provide your general and contact
information which will automatically be inserted into each ad you
place.
IMPORTANT:
To assure that
all your ads display TOGETHER when a visitor clicks to view your listings,
you should submit all your horses using the same user account, login and
password. Otherwise, some of your ads will not display. If
you forget your login or password, email our
webmaster
and it will be emailed to you. Be sure to provide your name, email
address and ranch name, city and/or state in the body of the email request
you send.
:: Why is this necessary? In order to place ads on an automated
site, the server must know "who you are" before it can
provide you with
your personal tool bar and be able to insert your contact
information into your ads without your typing it in each time.
In other words, the "User Registration" is the process by which
you identify yourself to the server. Only YOU can bring up that
menu, using your user name and password each time you log in.
:: What about Privacy? We DO
NOT use or share your personal information for any other
purpose. Ever! We are very anti-spam and respect your
privacy.
Note: If you do not wish to have
your personal name or address made public on the web, may we suggest
that you use initials, a title (owner, manager, foreman, etc.) or a
nickname in the "Owner Name" first name and/or last name fields,
then provide a ranch/farm or business name in the next input field
("Business/Ranch Name") You can enter "not available" or other
non-identifying term in the "Address" field (even just a
"dot" (period) if you wish to have that
private.
Most visitors would appreciate knowing your city and state,
but there are options on the drop-down lists that are minimally
revealing if you
have a desire for maximum privacy. Even the phone number field can be
entered as 000-000-0000. An email address should obviously be
provided if there is no other way for people to reach you, even
though that is not a required field on this form. For maximum
advertising exposure, the more information you provide, the easier you will be to
find on the web via indexing within our site and in various search
engines. If you have special concerns or need help, please contact our

What is the Ranch Listing?
Your User Registration information is
also used to set up a free "ranch/ business" page that
people can search by state, business name or your name. That will
give you another nice FREE web presence that should help keep buyers
in touch with you.

The "First time sign up" link is near the top of each classified
menu . Click
HERE to view. Simply fill out
this form.
You will choose a user name and password, and
can give a
description of your horse business or other related horse
activities.
The contact information you enter on this form will be
added to each of your horse for sale or stallion ads automatically,
including hot links to your web page and e-mail address.
So, it is not
necessary to type your web address into the body of your ads (which would not result in a live link,
anyway.) Your clickable web page link will appear on every
ad page you set up, as well as on your Ranch page.

When you have filled out the form
completely, click the "Submit" button at
the end of the form.
Remember, when creating your "ranch/business"
pages, be sure to take advantage of this advertising
opportunity to fully describe your horse business or horse
related activities! You may be just what people
searching by state are looking for!!
:: LOGGING IN -- After you
set
up your user registration, you then access your own personal
menu bar by clicking the "login" link near the top of
the BuyHorsesONLY classified pages. You just type in your selected
user name and password and click "submit."
The HELP menu at the left will be available while you create your ads.
