He has all the qualities the King Ranch bred for ... intelligence, cow sense, soundness, trainability and enough speed to do the job at hand. 
He is a quick horse that is handy on his feet ... never on the wrong lead, naturally. He has a short back, good front end, low center of gravity and long, smooth muscle. His feet are black and hard, and never need trimming.
