The first three foals
out of The Last Red, the little twin filly pictured in "The X
Factor," owned by Marianna Haun, who is participating in the University
of Kentucky's breeding experiment on the large heart. Born a mere 52 pounds,
she matured at 14.3 and has a heart as large as some champion stallions. As
expected, she has produced normal-sized offspring. She is pictured above
(right) in November, 1999 with her daughter, Tale of Two Hearts.
