Held during the APHC World Show, Ft. Worth TX every fall.

Horse owner and rider must be current members of the ApHC, ApCHA and a regional club in order to show; this applies to all listed ApCHA classes. NCHA rules for judging apply. Exhibitor must wear, long sleeve shirt, jeans, belt, chaps, boots and a cowboy hat.

All memberships and stall arrangements available at the show. You must have your horse entered no later than 5pm the day before the class. Don't forget to get your horse inspected when you arrive at the show.

Mechanical cow available for practice Thursday afternoon, Thursday evening & Friday morning. Cost: $5.00 per minute.

Print an Entry Form for all classes.

(Optional: PDF form from ApHC) If you use this form, be sure to add member info and other items provided on the above complete form.

 

Appaloosa Cutting Horse Association ApHC Open DERBY

Held during the 10-day APHC World Show, Ft. Worth TX every fall.

Eligibility:

:: 4-Year-Old Appaloosa horse registered with the Appaloosa Horse Club, Moscow. Idaho.

:: Owners, trainers and riders must be members of the ApCHA, ApHC and of a regional club in order to compete at the World Show.

Entry Deadline:

:: Entries are due in the ApCHA office on no later than Sept 30, 2011.
Entries received after this date will be too late to include in the printed Championship Show Program.

Payment Schedule:

:: Beginning May 30, 2011, nominations for the 2010 ApCHA Derby will be accepted in five monthly payments of $110., totaling $550. plus cattle fees

:: Payments are due by the last day of each month of each month. Late fees will apply.)

:: You must name your Derby horse in July (complete with registration papers).

:: OR you may name your Derby horse in July (complete with registration papers) and make one payment of $550 plus cattle fees by September 30 and be included in the printed Show Program. However, you must let Show management know by Sept 1st so enough cattle are ordered!!!

   Payments made October 1st or later will cost $800. plus cattle fees, and will miss the print deadline to be included in the show program.


General Information:

:: Advertising, office charge and judging costs will be deducted from the purse.

:: Cattle charges are to be charged at the time of the show.

:: The Derby will consist of one run. The highest score wins.

:: Prizes: Payouts, Champion Trophy, Reserve Champion Buckle.

Futurity Committee:

:: The Futurity committee will oversee the ApCHA Derby according to NCHA and ApHC rules.

:: The committee will consist of the ApCHA President and two members.

:: Owners of nominated horses must be notified and vote on any rule changes. Choosing not to vote signifies a “Yes” vote, Majority rules.
