Cowboy Desire was purchased at the 1999 NCHA Preferred Breeders Sale for $76,000. by Frank Merrill,
David McDavid, and Tony Langdon, who then formed the Cowboy Desire
Partnership.
He was put into training with Terry Riddle. As a two-year-old in cutting training, he was
outstanding. He was thought to be one of the most prolific horses to come along in
years. He had it all ... cowsense, ability, great mind ... and he was beautiful.
Tragedy struck when he injured a hock in training. After months of treatment,
including surgery, it was apparent that he would not be able to
show at the NCHA Futurity. Their decision to dissolve the partnership
gave us the opportunity to own this outstanding horse. |
