Creating a Web Address for Your Stallion
Such as
www.mrdiversified.com Having his own web address it easy for
anyone to find or remember your stallion or your business on the web
anywhere in the world. Use it in your web, email, print ads,
brochures, business cards, etc.
Some domain names may be taken, but we will help you find a good
alternative URL (the technical designation for a domain name ... or web
address.) To make it easiest for people to remember the domain
name, I recommend that you spell the horse's registered name with
no spaces or hyphens, and use the .com ending. Otherwise, people
will have a harder time remember if there were or were not hyphens.
(Spaces are not allowed.) Since "dot com" is the most popular ending for
a domain name, that will also be the one most likely tried first
if a person is not sure, or they are just hoping they might find
your stallion that way without having to search. It really is a
small investment in making it easy for the world to go straight to his
page.
We will
register the domain in your ownership and manage it for
you for as long as he is enrolled in the Stallion Finder. The
initial cost by our registrar is $15 to register and use the domain name
for the first 12 months. Thereafter, a $15. annual renewal must be
made to continue ownership of that domain. (This is neither the
cheapest nor the most expensive registrar, but they do not exploit
you or your visitors, force you to place banners or self-serving
navigation menus on your web pages.) In reality, there is "no free
lunch" and you can expect many discount registration services to use
techniques that will be at least annoying, and may go so far as
installing spy ware to track the browsing habits of your visitors,
which will likely result in increased spam and advertising pop-ups. The
savings are simply not worth it.
If you should later wish to have the URL open a different web site,
we will assist you making that change. Registrars or other
webmasters involved with such a change may charge fees for their
service, but it is usually not very expensive.
